Goal:Gain muscle
PT: Ben Pywell
Client: Marc Buchan
Have you had PT before Soho?
Yes.
What did you normally do in the gym before you started with Ben?
Before I started with Ben I just did running and not much else.
What are the 3 key benefits you’ve found from working with your PT?
1. Helped achieve correct technique 2. Constant monitoring of my fitness levels and body composition 3. The motivation overall to keep going
What exercise or area do you feel you’ve improved on
the most?
It’s not been one specific area it’s been a big overall improvement. If I had to name one specifically, it’s been a solid introduction and progression in large compound movements such as my squats.
How would you sum up your PT in a sentence?
Ben is very knowledgeable but is able to deliver this knowledge in an engaging, interactive way in our sessions.

PT: Christine Deane
Client: Kirsty Palmer
Have you had PT before Soho?
Years ago at another gym group. Back then I stopped because my PT was not very supportive, there was more criticism than encouragement.
What did you normally do in the gym before you started with Christine?
Mostly I would do classes - Zumba™, aerobics, general body conditioning - with the odd bit of extra cardio stuff on the bike or rowing machine. I had never lifted a weight or done any running (I don't even run for buses). I probably went 3 or 4 times a week to different classes and sweated a lot but didn't see much in the way of any progress in changing shape. I've spent a decade battling to keep my weight under control, and losing more often than winning so I decided to take a new approach.
What are the 3 key benefits you’ve found from working with your PT?
1. A more focussed approach to exercise and fitness
2. More motivation through agreed targets and having my progress checked regularly
3. No more starvation diets!
What exercise or area do you feel you’ve improved on the most?
Difficult to say as so much has improved overall, but probably the biggest leap is in my upper body strength in particular
my arms.
How would you sum up your PT in a sentence?
Chrissy is the perfect combination: highly professional, very motivational and a jolly good laugh - she's even got me running for the first time in my life!
