REPS
What is REPs?
REPs are the Register of Exercise Professionals, set up in 2002 to recognise the qualifications and expertise of health enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. Registration is achieved and maintained through attaining nationally recognised qualifications and undergoing accredited training programmes. REPs members are bound by a Code of Ethical Practice and are required to hold appropriate public liability insurance.
To maintain your membership, REPs require that all fitness professionals attain 24 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points over the course of a two year period. In practice this means undergoing additional training involving workshops, seminars and theory, which can be applied to enhance your skills as a gym instructor or personal trainer.
The Soho Academy Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer courses are both recognised by REPs.

Setting the Standard
Soho Academy aims to set a new standard for training fitness professionals. Both our Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer courses are recognised by REPs, offering the standard modules to enable you to qualify successfully. But we have chosen to go one step further, because we believe there’s more to being a fitness instructor than simply having a qualification. We provide our own in-house short courses such as Padwork and Kettlebell training to hone your knowledge and expertise and we also offer one-to-one support and advice from experienced Personal Trainers in order to give you unique skills and experience that will set you apart as you embark upon your new career.
