Food for Fitness Seminars

Seminar 1: Food, Facts & Fiction -

Wednesday 7th July 18:30 - 20:00 at Borough:

  • The basics: What is nutrition, nutrients, health & healthy. Find out more about Protein, Carbohydrate, Fats, Vitamins & Minerals.
  • What about foodstuffs we eat every day? We cover bread, cereals, rice, pasta, dairy, fruit, meat, nuts, oils, seeds, pulses, vegetables, & processed foods.
  • We explain how these foods impact us, the nutrients they contain, and how they can be used to support our training goals.

Seminar 2: Workout Food -

Wednesday 28th July 18:30 - 20:00 at Borough:

  • This seminar focuses on defining training goals, covering different training routines/approaches for different goals.
  • Lean Workouts, Muscle Workouts, Power Workouts, Endurance/ Event Training.
  • We cover the nutrition needed to support these goals, as well as some practical tips on goal setting & measurement.

Seminar 3: Fitting Finish -

Wednesday 4th August 18:30 - 20:00 at Borough:

  • This seminar is about making it all happen, taking everything from the previous two seminars, and helping you make it relevant to yourself and to your lifestyle.
  • We also give you some tools to help work out your individual calorie needs, look at menu planning tools & cover some popular diets & celebrity endorsements to see if these really get the results claimed.
  • And finally, as summer approaches.... we look at barbeques, alfresco eating & drinking, and tell you the real culprits when it comes to helping/ hindering a training programme.

The BITE Programme

BITE stands for Bringing Individuality To Eating and is about putting a nutrition programme together that is realistic for you, reflecting your nutrition, exercise & lifestyle goals, as well as recognising any particular lifestyle factors & constraints that are unique to you.

Find out more & increase your knowledge with a series of individual consultations to focus specifically on the goals you want to achieve.

The Full Menu

A series of 5 consultations to get you well on the route to better nutrition, working in detail over a timescale of your choice.

The Lighter Menu

A series of 3 shorter consultations to help you improve your nutrition.

Both sessions include a selection of the following:

  • Analysis of Food Diary & Lifestyle.
  • Prioritisation of areas for change:
    short, medium, long term.
  • Goal setting, planning
    & measurement.
  • Supermarket trips
    & Shopping plans
  • Recipes & Menu ideas.
